Well as I promised, an Aion post is hereThis Event was Closed Beta for North America and Europe players, I got an invite, so I thought I would show you guys what Aion is like. 
This time I could only play as Elyos, and Level cap was 20, I hit 18 as I went out saturday and actually saw little point in trying for max level, as I wanted to just enjoy the game. haha.The CBT (Closed beta Test) Opened at 8pm GMT, which was nice as I thought I missed the opening because I was working. I opened Aion as usual, for those who wanted to see it, here is the log in screen. 
As I opened Aion, I was introduced by the extensive character select screen 
This is just a taster of what is to come. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING has a slider, height, fatness, how tall you are, even how big your nose and biceps are. Your character will be YOUR character. I had a mess around with this character select screen and eventually came up with my character. As I entered the world of Aion, I was suprised by the amount of people, the beginning of the game was crowded and I found it hard to level 
It took me a good 30 mins to level once xD, but it didn’t deter me. Now the first 10 lvls on Aions gameplay are incredibly friendly, tutorials and friendly advice by the game and NPCs make it easy for anyone to pick up and play. The monsters are not too hard, and there is alot of them. (Unless you start when everyone else started, I meanseriously, about 5 mobs to 100 people LOL)After 4 hours of game play (Yes, 4 hours >_>) and MANY deaths later, I hit lvl 7, my character finally got a new piece of armour and I was still addicted as I will ever be. 
Inventory space is called a “Cube”, you upgrade them by talking to certain NPCs for a cost, when fully upgraded, you have 2 of the spaces you see in this picture. Note to all players: Pick up EVERYTHING, money is hard to come by, and youll regret it if you dont lol.After my nice 3 hours in Kabarah strip, I hit lvl 8, and moved onto a cave. 
I hunted here for an hour for my engine parts!, enemies here were few and far between, and I was with the crowd, so alot of people were here with me. I had to camp one spawn point for my kills! haha. This is the first frontal screen shot of my character, attention to detail on your character is awesome. Shame you cannot really see that in this screenshot, as I was still wearing my nooby armour LOL.After a few more quests in the area, I discovered the flight NPC. 
The Flight NPC works very much like the flight masters from WoW, you find flight paths, and then for a cost you can move inbetween towns quickly. at this stage flying was expensive, and I could only do it a few times. I only did it this time since I needed to go back to town to finish a quest, and I was too lazy to walk lol.As you can see as well, I have “Tree Hugger” in front of my name, that is a title, you get titles from completing certain quests and titles give you stat bonuses such as HP and physical defence. And the funny thing is, EVERYONE was tree hugger. haha.After a bit more questing I hit level 9 and was doing my ascension quest (you don’t have to level to 10 as the ascention quest gets you to 10 once you finish it.)Half way through the quest I hit Sanctum, the Elyos’ Main city. 
As you can see, it was very pretty, I spent 30 mins just looking at the town and the detail that has been put into it. 
Sanctum Main square, nothing really to say about this, I just wanted to show you.I finished the Ascention and carried on questing, a few in game movies and alot of reading later, I hit the town Veteron Citadel, and decided to test out what flying was actually like. 
After dying 3 times (Yes 3 times, I was enjoying flying too much I forgot about the timer, then I got cocky! You suffer from fall damage when you do fall, and it isnt nice!), I enevtually started to quest again. Which in turn took me back to sanctum.Apon walking around sanctum, I came across a Spritmaster, and asked him to stop so I could screenie the spirit (this was ALL for you PJ =p). 
That is the first spirit you get, and it is it’s first stage, you don’t get the next stage until 22, so I didn’t see one on this occasion.Anyway as walking around Sanctum, I took another picture for you, since the view was aweome. 
After finishing here I went back to veteron to continue a few quests I picked up there, and to test out my gladiators true stength!I played around with a few crabs. 
I found out after being Ascended, I had beaten the crowd, so it wasnt busy here at all and I found it alot easier to level here then I did at first. Note: Darkened area of my experience bar, I died from flying, you can heal that if you go to a soul healer, but its not cheap, and I didnt have the cash to do it haha.After questing on the beach for a bit longer I took it upon myself to actually look for the armour and weapon shop, since the armour I had wasnt making the grade. 
The building behind me held the “Broker” or the Auction house. People over charged for the Beta so it wasnt much use really. I did get my helmet from there for cheap and my chest plate. This was the last screenshot I took for the friday, as it was 5 am and I was tired. As I came back to play on the sunday afternoon after being up Jacks, I continued to quest and explore. 
I walked into Dukaki Mine as there were alot of quests to do there. One where you had to save a pig from being eaten, that pig, and that farmer, gave me good exp.I had to venture back to Sanctum to hand in my Pure Odium I obtained from a caged NPC so I could finish my Language potion quest, Once again I came across a Spirit Master with a Wind Spirit. 
I like the wind spirit, looks the best in my opnion Anyway as I carried on through the questing I had to gather Contaminated Swamp Plants. 
Note the red blob behind me. Yes, they are what I was gathering, it took me 30 mins to find them, since I was looking for plants haha.After I finished this quest I did a bit more exploring and came across this. 
No, its not a pile of rock, its a Golem, Golems that killed me, ALOT. Sai knows the rage I felt, he was on Skype listening to me die xD. 
And Douche Beard FTW. This one was taken for Sai. LOL I got my Own back on a golem, with a skill called “Dp Explosion”, the green bar you see is DP, that means, well I don’t know, but a few skills use it and the skills that do are powerful.So, I filled it up, and got my own back on a golem, for lolz. 
Yes, I am swinging it around and am about to smash its face into the floor, it was satisfying. immensly. LOLI finished questing in Atamia Ridge and continues on to a place called Ardus Shrine 
I had to get up there by flying, it took me a while to find out this was a flying area, and monsters here hurt, alot. As ya can see to the left, the monsters are wind spirits. Not much to say about this really, apart from music here was awesome and enemies hurt. haha After finishing there, I carried onto Tursin Terrotories, at first I didnt think much of it, But this area is made for groups, Monsters have alot of HP and hit for massive damage. I died several times as I had soloed up to this point and wasnt expecting it.So I found myself a group and we ventured into Tursin Outpost. 
It was about 10pm at this point on sunday, so as I had work, my Aion times were running short, We killed alot of monsters and finished a few quests but, I had to leave as I needed to go to bed. 
This was what Decipher looked like before I had to leave, I hit level 18. After hours of fun I had to call it a day, But hey, I know for a fact I will be buying this game and I will be paying montly to play it. Since this was only a small taste in what the game has to offer.That was my first adventure into the world of Aion, More to come in next CBT, which is June 19-June 21st, and we get to play as Asmodian!
