Spark
Spark is the knight is training that Leaf is assigned to serve. He is very serious about becoming a knight and doing his duty and so he is often time sthrown off by Leaf's playfulness. He gets angry when Leaf goes off to find a place to stay when there is work to be done. Leaf likes to tease him and exploits the fact that he is nervous around girls. She yells at him to ask Neece to dance and Ryna has to drag her away to keep her from spying on them.

Neece
Neece is the grandaughter of the great priestess Neece who she is named after and the daughter of Leylia and Slayn. Neece is the "doorway," and she can be sacraiced to bring kardis back into existance. Neece is very kind but distant. Because of her destiny and her life as a priestess, Neece has kept herself from making freinds and having strong feelings for other people. Leaf sees Neece as someone she can relate with because they are both young girls and she drags Neece into some situations Neece does not understand. She gets Neece to help her spy on Garrak and Ryna because she thinks they are romanticly involved. Neece doesn't understand why Leaf is interested in them. Later, Leaf is determined to help Spark and Neece along the path of romance and enlists the help of Ryna, ending in a lot of embarassment. Leaf is a loyal freind to Neece and wants to protect her from being sacraficed.

Garrak
The other mercenary assigned to aide Spark is Garrak, also known as the Blue Comet (or Meteor depending on the translation :P). Garrak has met leaf before on another job. They both regard each other on meeting like "Oh no, don't tell me I'm stuck with you again." Garrak is not just a mercenary, but a noble-type guy who is assigned to watch over the mercenary ranks. He is very strong and dedicated to protecting his comrades. He is a big eater and Leaf is always fighting with him over food. They seem to be very good friends in spite of their bickering. Garrak tends to act towards Spark the way that Leaf acts to Neece. Together Garrak and Leaf can be a nuisance to their allies out of battle but in battle together they are a great pair to have around.

Ryna
Ryna first poses as a mercenary and agrees to help the group, but later it is revealed that she is a theif escaping her death warrent and seeking the revenge of her partner who was killed by the elves who stole the soul crystal ball. She is actually a kind-hearted person who was forced to cheat and steal all her life to survive. Leaf is a freind of Ryna's. At first Leaf is suspicious of Ryna's relationship with Garrak and think that the two are in love. Ryna is a very intelligent person who ussually has something witty to say, so Leaf probably gave up thinking that since her opinion of Garrak's inteligence is rather low. Leaf and Ryna team together to "help" Neece and Spark.

Grevas
Grevas is a dwarf and a priest of the war god. He admires Spark's determination and realizes he has potential but realizes that Spark is somewhat misled. So, he decides to join the group and be a mentor to Spark and the others. Grevas is serious and cool-headed at all times, but he is a very kind person. He often scolds Leaf for her occasional wrecklessness which makes her angry. He's ussually right though. Unlike Aldo and Spark, Grevas always has the right thing to say or a good retort to Leaf and so instead of trying to get him to lighten up, she just leaves him alone.

Aldo Nova
Aldo is an aide and former student of Neece's father, Slayn. He is dedicated to protecting Neece, but he hardly understands her. She is desperate to help everyone with her skills but he keeps her very sheltered. He's not very experienced at fighting or taking care of young girls however, and gets very confused. Leaf occasionally tries to get Aldo to lighten up but considers it a futile effort. She encourages Neece to be independant in spite of Aldo. She calls him "Aldo" where as many of the others call him "Aldo Nova" more formally.

Deedlit
Deedlit is an elf, the companion of Parn. She has fought alongside Slayn and Etoh as well and is freinds with King Kashue. Leaf knows Deedlit but isn't a very close freind. She looks up to deedlit and looks very awestuck in Deedlit's prescence. She says "Yes m'am!" when Deedlit asks her a quesion. Deedlit is probably the only elf she has met that doesn't discriminate Leaf for being half human. Deedlit is pleased to see that there are half-elfs who are happy people because of her own relationship with Parn.
