Leaf is introduced as a mercenary to work for Spark and recover the soul crystal ball which was stolen by the Marmo from the kingdom of Flaim. Spark doesn't think she is a mercenary at first because she is very young and she is a girl. Leaf knows the other mercenary named Garrak from another job that she's done before. As a mercenary, Leaf has been on one or two missions before, but she is still a newbie. Garrak tells her that she "should know by now to make a good impression." The group sets off to find the ones who stole the soul crystal ball and Leaf makes friends with them all very quickly. She gets to be very good freinds with the other two women of the group, Neece and Ryna, and is freindly with the guys as well. Leaf proves to be a very useful companion with her elvin shamanistic magic and her fighting skill.
With a father who was an elf and a mother who was human, Leaf was not accepted easilly by either race. Her family lived in a small village and had a happy life until dark elves attacked the village and killed her father while he was defending their family. Her mother left on a quest for revenge. My guess is that she was quite a warrior herself. Leaf was sent to live with her aunt. Though she is only a teenager, Leaf became a mercenary. She is not to be underestimated as a mercenary, but she is not a very experienced mercenary either. She probably likes to be a mercenary because the warriors don't persecute her for being elvin, especially since elvin magic often saves them in battle.
Despite some hardship in her life, Leaf is very spunky and a playful person. She exhibits the spritely and mischivious qualities of an elf. She's extremely freindly and makes freinds with everyone. Though Garrak is always fighting with her, he is probably her best friend. Neece is also very close to Leaf because Leaf enjoys the company of another young girl. Ryna is another freind of Leaf's within the party. She knows she is young but she doesn't like other people to treat her like she is, saying she will be older than all of them one day because she is half elf.
Leaf uses the same shamistic magic as Deedlit, though not as powerful as Deedlit's is in the Heroic Knight series. She is able to call on elemental spirits to help her like the water spirits from a river, the wil-o-wisps, the light spirits, and fire spirits. She is also a good fighter. Her weapon is a rod with spear-tip points on both ends.
