Modotte Mamotte Lollipop – Volume 1 Chapter 1
The adventure of Nina, Zero, and Ichii continue in the sequal to Mamotte Lollipop, entitled Modotte Mamotte Lollipop. To be honest, I haven’t read the first series, nor have I watched the anime beyond the first episode. (I’ve been reading Ex-Fansubber as the series progressed through its repetitive cliche-ness.) Nevertheless, the art is cute, so I downloaded this series from Nagareboshi Manga. Will the cute factor be enough to sustain interest in MM Lollipop?
The sequal opens with Zero removing his shirt while on a bed with Nina. Oh my!
Text on the page blaringly states that the opening is risque and dangerous – a love scene at the start of a new series!
The page is in full colour, so the red on her cheeks is extremely evident. He pulls in close for a kiss -
- and then Nina awakes from her dream. Nina awaits on her promise for Zero to return home for her, but he betrays her promise to return on the date specified. While minding her own business, a crystal orb falls from the sky directly into her mouth.
When Zero and Ichii do show up, it turns out they were there for a second set of exams, not to see her specifically. At this, Nina is upset and screams at Zero that she wasn’t waiting for him anyway. (This girl sure throws tantrums. I don’t think I’d go back for her either. XDXDXD) They realize that she has once again swallowed their prize. She runs off in typical Nina fashion.
Baddies show up! The other exam candidates (oh, there are too many, I think they are all named 3 to 8, but I’m not sure) appear in pursit of the orb. Aiee! She tries to escape, and when the situation gets too hectic, her boys reappear and give a speech about always being there to protect her. A piece of the crystal had come out of her, but they realize that it’s not in its entirety. Slowy over time, the crystal will come out of Nina’s body and be on the offensive, so a new challenge emerges:
Whichever team of exam candidates finds the most fragments will pass the Advanced exam.
Zero clears up the misunderstanding about return to the human world by pulling Nina close and saying that he wanted to see her. Aww. As the gag of the chapter, Zero pulls her extremely close and appears to touch her bum (? can’t tell where his hand is.) and asks how he can get the crystal shard to come out of her. Of course, she calls him a pervert and gets mad. Ichii tells him that he has no experience. ;P
Ah, the intrigue! The first chapter was fun, and pretty easy to follow along even without much of a background to the series. The bad thing: it seems like a rehash of the first series just with a slightly different challenge. I’m not sure how this is all going to pan out. I guess that the last series ended with a Nina X Zero ending (I think I would have preferred Nina X Ichii T_T), but I suppose time will tell if there is room for more romance!

Mamotte and Ouran are officially my favorite series.

you can watch this on veoh.com or crunchyroll.com but their are only 2 episodes and their hasn’t been a 3rd one for a while now and i don’t think their continuing the series>_<

modette mamotte lollipop is the seond season. in the anime there are only two episodes because they want to finish the manga first. the first season there are only

i love mamotte lollipop it is the best manga book i have read i like when zero and ichi come from the sky. I also like it when nina tried to get out of zeros arms when they were in the sky and nina almost fell but zero caught her close(very close)
