Magitek.nu was purchased on August 26 of 2001. The domain was purchased from nunames.nu. I absolutely adore the .nu extension; it's short and cute.
I'm hosted by Dreamhost. I truly recommend them. I have been using their services for over two years now, and I absolutely love them. They have wonderful customer service and great deals. An excellent combination!
My absolute favourite video game of all time is Final Fantasy VI, or Final Fantasy III for the SNES, for those who still remember its pre-PSX release. :P I love everything about it, and I knew that if I was ever to get a collective domain, I would surely name my domain after it to show my fandom of it. And so, Magitek was born to house my sites!
In the game, Magitek is an emerging source of power that the Empire is developing to try to gain control over the other nations in the world. It is the combination of mechanical machines and magic drained from creatures called Espers.
Prior to owning the domain, I lived on the mercy of free hosting services such as Geocities. Which, I will readily admit, is really aggravating. So many downtimes and restrictions, plus all of my sites were located at different places rather than under one roof. It was hard for visitors to travel from one site to another. And due to lack of space on my accounts from different services, I had many sites which were never able to be online! It was the pits.
FAQ
Through my years running this collective, people haven't really asked me all that many questions. I suppose that's a good thing! Maybe I've been thorough. Maybe people are shy. Whatever the case, the frequently asked questions section is very small.

Sorry, I don't have much time to be making other people layouts. I also make all the layouts for magitekNU unique (at least I try to ^^), so I don't want to give them up! *clings to old layouts* However, perhaps Magitek Designs can be of some help!
